Day 13/30: Love Letter to Miro ๐
I wish Miro was around when I was a student who loved to create mind maps to review material.
In 2019, I discovered Miro.
I was a member of a virtual book club. The club organizers used Miro to kickstart small group brainstorming discussions before aggregating related ideas to discuss with the full group.
Since then, I havenโt looked back.
Miro has become my mental dumping ground, albeit presented visually. As much as I love short-form and long-form writing, there are times when relationships are more effectively described in visual over written format.
The pre-made templates make work more efficient, too. Most of the time, I already have a sense of how the information is best represented. I search for a template and make minimal modifications to suit my needs at the time, as required.
Itโs also interesting to see Miroโs feature sets evolve with the movement of all-remote and hybrid work, such as timers (for timeboxing activities during groupwork), native dot-voting capabilities (as opposed to have to create the dots ourselves via shapes), and a wireframe library (for creating mockups or low-fidelity wireframes).
How do you or your team use Miro (or a similar product)? ๐ค
